Most bedskirts are either pleated (likewise called tailored) or shaken up (likewise called gathered). A pleated bed skirt is constructed from level panels of textile with 2 or 3 divides on each of the sides and also at the foot. A ruffled bedskirt is a continuous piece of fabric that walks around the 2 sides as well as foot of bed which is sewn with a shaken up pattern on top of the bed skirt, view source.
